More about our family

Heather aka "Mama"

I was born in Boone, North Carolina, and I have lived here my entire life. After High School I married my best friend and then graduated Appalachian State with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 and a minor in Spanish (very minor might I add ;) I taught 4th grade for two years before having my first son, Charlie. Together, Jamie and I decided it would be best for our family if I took time away from the classroom to stay home. Wonderful decision. I loved every minute. This year I started teaching again. I am so blessed to have found a school I love, a community that has embraced me, and a perfect home for my children to begin their education. I have come to realize how much I need to cherish the small things. That is why I started blogging. I love horses, hate cats, thankful to be a solid right winger and Christian. I am one of those crazies that still believes that true God-fearing patriots made this nation and true heroes have preserved it's democracy and liberties.

Jamie aka "Daaah!"
My husband was raised in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. We met through my sister and her husband. Jamie works at Carroll Companies, and also runs the Ward Family Financial Center, ha ha. He enjoys golfing and sports of all kinds. He shares my passion of movies and popcorn, and puts up with a lot, thus giving me the perfect man. We make a great team, and I am so thankful he's always got my back :)

Charlie aka "Pie-Da-Man"

Born in March 2009, Charlie is our oldest son. He was named after Jamie's grandfather, Charlie, and my grandmother's maiden name, Craig. He loves Superheroes, books about monsters, and Scooby Doo. He is always keeping us laughing. He's a great midnight snuggler, and yes, he's 4 and still sleeps with us. He is addicted to milk and anything dairy. Watch out, he can probably "fight you down."

Brady aka "Hootie"

Brady is our "Baby B" every since we found out we were having a boy. He carries my Dad's name, Cleve. He's so easy going, and becoming pretty scrappy. Charlie gave him a fitting name, Hootie Hoot. Shortened now, he's simply our "Hootie." He is 2 already, and I just can't believe it.  He's training to become the next Globetrotter. He also snuggles....on occasion in my bed. His smile is infectious, and he loves everyone.
