Woolly Worm Fest 2012

Once again, Tiff, Mom, and I took the kids to the COLDEST place south of the pole, Banner Elk for the annual Woolly Worm Festival. Mom and Jimmy worked for seriously weeks to gather the best of the best worms to choose from. All the kids took serious time considering the proper names.

Kendall: Willie Tillie
Grant: Tyrone
Charlie: Tai Long
Brady: Hootie

Here's the breakdown of the results.

Hootie died shortly after the race began due to serious head trama. He feel off of the racing string because he was the stupidest worm in the heat. Brady didn't care because he snoozed through his entire racing hooplah.

Tyrone seemed confused and constantly tried turning himself in the wrong direction. Afer a few heafty breaths from Grant he moved a little, but fell short of the prize.

Tai Long was a worm bred and chosen for fighting. Since Charlie thought it was going to be a worm "fight" instead of "race" he trained his contender for the ring, thus, lacking the racing skills needed to win.

Willie Tillie might possibly have been the racer to watch. I believe he did the best simply because of the rocking cheering squad near by. He started off slow, but won a celebrated 3rd place.

We were frozen and snotty, but we all had a blast. Maybe next year we will all learn from our shortcomings and dominate the races.
